About this race

The Great Rossa Run Half Marathon is part of a multi-distance community running event based in Ardboe on the western shores of Lough Neagh in County Tyrone. The half marathon starts in the vicinity of Ardboe Hall on Mullinahoe Road and follows roads in the rural loughshore landscape west of Ardboe Point. The course takes runners through quiet country roads in the local area before returning to the finish at the community hall. The terrain is undulating, with the route described as lumpy in places, offering a challenging but rewarding experience. All distances at the event are part of the accredited Athletics NI certified course programme. The event, organised in association with Ardboe O'Donovan Rossa GAC, has a strong community atmosphere and attracts competitors from across Ulster and beyond.
