Ards Forest Park

Ards Forest Park parkrun takes runners on a 5k loop through the trails of this stunning Coillte-managed forest park on the Ards Peninsula, near Creeslough in north Donegal. The course runs almost entirely on dirt forest tracks and trails, with very little paved surface. The route is notably challenging for a parkrun, featuring several rolling climbs and descents as it winds through mixed woodland. Sections of the course pass close to the shoreline of Sheephaven Bay, offering glimpses of the Atlantic coastline. The start and finish are located near the main car park and playground area of the park. With its scenic woodland setting, coastal backdrop and rugged terrain, it is one of the more characterful parkrun courses in Ireland.
