Barrowhouse 5k 2026

The Barrowhouse 5k is a popular community road race held in the Barrowhouse area of south County Laois, close to the River Barrow and the County Kildare border near Athy. The race takes place on closed tarmac roads in the locality, following a fast and flat course well suited to personal best attempts. Starting and finishing in the Barrowhouse area, the route passes through the scenic rural roads of the southeast Laois countryside. Prizes are awarded to the first and second male and female finishers, as well as the first primary school boy and girl. Entry is €10 online and family entry is €25 on the night, with €5 for children. Refreshments are provided for all participants after the race.
