Clare Burren Marathon 2026

The Clare Burren Marathon follows a 26.2-mile mixed-terrain route starting and finishing on the seafront pier in Ballyvaughan. The course travels through the Burren National Park using a combination of paved roads, "green roads," and rugged off-road trails, including a climb through the Caher Valley. Key landmarks along the circuit include the Burren College of Art, the ruins of Rathbourney Church, and the coastline at Fanore beach. Participants navigate a final trail over Blackhead and descend past Gleninagh Castle before returning to the village via the main coast road.
