Lough Cutra Castle Marathon 2026

The Lough Cutra Castle Marathon takes place within the stunning private grounds of Lough Cutra Castle in Gort, County Galway, as part of the Castle Race Series Multisport Festival weekend. The marathon course consists of multiple laps of a spectacular 7km estate loop that takes runners through the castle grounds and surrounding South Galway countryside. The route passes by the edge of Lough Cutra, Europe's largest privately owned lake, and through a mix of wooded estate tracks and open countryside paths.
