Dave Fogarty 4mile 2026

The Dave Fogarty 4 Mile Road Race is organised by Thurles Crokes Athletic Club in honour of a former club and county stalwart. The race is based at the Thurles Crokes complex on Racecourse Road and follows the well-known Leugh circuit on public roads to the north-west of Thurles town. The course is undulating throughout, climbing gradually to reach its highest point around the one-mile mark before descending into the Leugh area, passing Leugh Community Centre and National School. Further rolling terrain follows before a final approach back into Thurles along the Thurles–Nenagh road to the finish. The course is considered testing and is suited to walkers, joggers and competitive runners alike. Registration and post-race refreshments are hosted at the Thurles Crokes grounds, with prizes awarded across all categories.
