About this race
The Cork BHAA Johnson and Johnson MedTech 4 Mile is part of the long-running Cork Business House Athletics Association calendar, held in the Ringaskiddy area on the south shore of Cork Harbour. Registration takes place at Ringaskiddy Community Centre. The course starts in Ringaskiddy and crosses the bridge onto Haulbowline Island, taking runners on a loop through the island's Recreational Park before returning across the bridge and back to Ringaskiddy. The route is broadly flat, consistent with the low-lying coastal terrain of the area, and offers an unusual and scenic setting as runners pass through the naval and island landscape of Cork Harbour. The race is open to registered and non-registered runners and is part of the competitive BHAA summer series. Formerly run under the DePuy Synthes name, it continues under the Johnson and Johnson MedTech banner.
