Achill Greenway

The Achill Greenway parkrun features a beautiful out-and-back 5k route that begins and ends at the trailhead car park in Achill Sound, just opposite the village church. Runners and walkers follow the scenic extension of the Great Western Greenway toward Saula, enjoying wide-open views of the bay and the rugged mountains of the West. The course is entirely tarmac-based and contains flat and hilly sections that provides a gentle challenge. Key landmarks include the distinctive trailhead benches made from wind turbine blades and the historical path of the former Achill railway line.
