Knockanacree Woods

The Knockanacree Woods parkrun begins and ends at the main Modreeny Road entrance and Picnic Site, nestled just outside the vibrant eco-village of Cloughjordan. This scenic 5k course consists of two laps that guide participants along the tranquil "beach trail" and through the heart of the developed woodland. Runners enjoy a peaceful route that transitions from narrow, natural earth paths to wider internal roadways, offering a diverse forest experience amidst mature trees. The terrain is run entirely on trail paths and is characterized by its undulating profile, providing a spirited and engaging challenge for all abilities. Celebrated for its serene atmosphere, the event concludes with a welcoming community gathering at the nearby Middle Country Cafe.
