The Grand Canal Way

The Grand Canal Way parkrun begins and ends on the scenic canal towpath in Tullamore, starting close to Convent View near the town center. This engaging 5k course features a unique format consisting of an initial 3km out-and-back section followed by a shorter 2km out-and-back loop along the historic Grand Canal. Participants enjoy peaceful waterside views and pass local landmarks such as the Fiona Pender Way and the bustling Bury Quay area. The terrain is run entirely on smooth, permanent paths that provide a reliable and consistent surface for athletes of all levels.
