Oldcastle 5k

The Oldcastle 5k is a road race that starts in Oldcastle town in County Meath and follows a 5k loop back to the finish in the town centre. The race takes place on Wednesday 15 July 2026 at 8pm. Oldcastle is a market town in the north of County Meath, close to the Cavan border and within reach of Lough Sheelin and the Loughcrew Megalithic Cairns. The course is run on the roads in and around the town, with the loop structure bringing runners back through the same finishing point on the main street. Medals are presented to all finishers. The event is a popular evening fixture on the Leinster summer running calendar, attracting both club runners and casual participants from the surrounding area.
