Nurney 5km

The Nurney 5km is a road race held in the village of Nurney in County Kildare, starting and finishing at Nurney GAA Club. The route is professionally measured and the race is chip timed, with an untimed walking option also available for those who prefer not to race. Held in November, the course runs on the rural roads in and around the Kildare village, with registration and number collection beginning from 9am on the day. Refreshments are provided afterwards. All funds raised from the event go towards the Nurney GAA Club Development Fund, making it as much a community fundraiser as a competitive race. The event has built a loyal following among local and regional runners returning year after year to support the club.
