Poulmucka 8k 2026

The Poulmucka 8k Road Race is an established annual event held in the small rural village of Poulmucka, located in south Tipperary approximately five miles north-west of Clonmel. The race is organised by Poulmucka Sports and Social Club in association with Cahir Meet and Train. The 8k course takes runners on a triangular loop to the north-west of Poulmucka through quiet country roads, passing through open farmland and rolling south Tipperary countryside. The route features a number of hills, with the most testing climb encountered at around the 4km mark. Registration takes place from 6:45pm at Moloney's Bar, which serves as race headquarters, with a 7:30pm start time. The event is chip timed and offers prizes across age categories. Post-race refreshments are provided, and the evening has a strong community atmosphere.
