Bullaun NS 8k 2026

The Bullaun NS 8K is an annual chip-timed road race and community fundraiser held in Bullaun, near Loughrea, County Galway, with all proceeds going to Scoil Éanna, the local national school. First held in 2015, the race follows a fast loop around the Bullaun area on public roads through the east Galway countryside. The course is flat and suitable for runners and joggers of all abilities. Alongside the main 8k race, a 5k walk and a 1k kids fun run are also available on the evening, making it a popular family event. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and across age category winners. A DJ plays at the finish line and the event is well known for its post-race spread of sandwiches, cakes and refreshments, which has become a much-loved tradition of the evening.
