The AHS Tuning Ireland Ballinroad 5K is the opening race in the West Waterford AC Summer Series, held annually on a Friday evening in the townland of Ballinroad, east of Dungarvan. The course starts and finishes at Ballinroad Community Hall and follows a flat, fast out-and-back route along the quiet roads surrounding the village, which also adjoin the scenic Waterford Greenway. Widely regarded as one of the flattest and most PB-friendly 5K courses in Munster, the event attracts competitive club runners and casual participants alike. Number collection is at the hall until 7pm, with the race starting at 7:30pm sharp. Online entry is €10 with on-the-night entry at €15. A fun run/walk also takes place alongside the main race, with proceeds supporting a local community cause.
