ALTAR 50k 2026

The ALTAR 50k takes place at Beyond the Trees Avondale Forest Park in County Wicklow. The course begins with a 1.6km starter loop before runners complete 15 loops of a 3.2km forest trail circuit, starting and finishing at the central aid station near the car park. The trails wind through the mature woodland of Avondale, one of Ireland's most scenic forest parks. The course is compact and looped, allowing runners to access the aid station and drop bags on every circuit. The terrain is forest trail and path throughout and the route is gently undulating. A central café, playground and toilets are available on site. The race is chip timed with an eight-hour cut-off.
