The Mile Marker 5mile

The Mile Marker 5mile is an annual fundraising road race held at St Michael's National School in Danesfort, Co. Kilkenny. Now in its seventh year, the event raises funds for the school. The 5 mile follows a single looped course on local tarmac roads, starting outside the GAA grounds adjacent to the school and finishing at its rear. The course is predominantly flat with a couple of rolling sections, becoming very flat over the final 2.5km. Roads remain open during the event with traffic management in place. The 5 mile and 10 mile share the same loop. Race start is 12 noon, with a concurrent 5k and a 1-Mile family dash at 11:40am. On-day registration is available from 9am. A tech top is included for all finishers.
