The Dambusters 10k is a road and trail race organised by Born 2 Run Events, held at Silent Valley Mountain Park in Annalong, County Down, set within the Mourne Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The course starts and finishes at the Silent Valley Mountain Centre, following an out-and-back route with a turning point at the dam itself, approximately at the halfway mark. Runners travel out through the spectacular glacial valley on road and path surfaces, with the Silent Valley reservoir and the Mourne Wall providing dramatic backdrops throughout. A single water station is provided at the dam turning point. Running shoes are suitable for all terrain on the course, and all finishers receive a Dambusters medal with chip timing for race participants. The event shares its start and finish with the 10 Mile and 5k distances, and is held as part of one of Northern Ireland's most visually striking and well-attended summer race events.
