Colm Horkan Memorial Run 10k 2026

The Colm Horkan Memorial Run 10k is part of the 6th annual event in Charlestown, County Mayo, organised by East Mayo AC and the Special Olympics Club in memory of Detective Garda Colm Horkan, a Charlestown native killed in the line of duty in 2020. Runners assemble at Charlestown National School and the course takes in the roads of Charlestown and the surrounding east Mayo area on a route that is consistently described as flat and fast, making it an excellent choice for those targeting a strong time. The event is chip timed and run under an Athletics Ireland permit. Post-race refreshments and prize-giving take place at the CBD Complex at Charlestown GAA Club.
