About this race

The Echo Women's Mini Marathon is Ireland's largest women's road race and one of the longest-running mass participation events in Munster, now in its 45th year. Organised and hosted by Cork Athletics, the 2026 event takes place on Sunday 20 September at 1pm. The 6km course starts on Centre Park Road and heads east towards the recently redeveloped Marina, passing the 1km mark near the Marquee venue. The route then turns right along the Marina, passing Holland Park at the 2km mark, before turning right through Blackrock village and continuing along Blackrock Road towards the city. The course passes the 4km mark near Barrington's Avenue, before turning onto Monahan Road and finishing adjacent to Kennedy Park. The route is flat and entirely on tarmac. Wheelchair participants start 15 minutes ahead of the main field.
