Wexford Festival of Running 50k 2026

The Wexford Festival of Running 50k takes place on a certified 1.3km loop course set within the grounds of Johnstown Castle, Co. Wexford. Organised by the Wexford Marathon Club, the route circuits the ornamental lake and mature gardens of the 19th-century castle on a flat tarmac surface. Runners complete multiple laps of the enclosed, fully marshalled loop with aid stations accessible on every circuit. The looped design fosters an excellent atmosphere and consistent runner support throughout the day. All four distances share the same route. The 50k begins at 12pm with all events finishing by 7pm. This is an IAU Bronze-labelled ultra event with time limits and chip timing in place throughout.
