About this race

The Fairhill Five Mile Road Race is an iconic evening road race in Ballymena, sponsored by Fairhill Shopping Centre and organised by Ballymena Runners AC. The race starts at the Broughshane Road entrance to the Fairhill Centre and follows a point-to-point route through the town, passing through Suffolk Street and Summerfield Street before entering Ecos Park. The course continues through the park to just past the four-mile mark, then exits onto St Patricks Way for a fast finish on Suffolk Street outside the Northern Regional College. The route is flat to gently undulating and is widely regarded as a fast course. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, and post-race prizegiving is held in the Des Allen Suite at Ballymena Showgrounds. Pre-registration is required; there are no entries on the night.
